At first sight the mudflats look like an empty, smelling mess. If you take a closer look, you will see the mudflats are teeming with life.
Join the ranger on a muddy walk on the seabed of the Wadden Sea. Admire the pooping worms, shells that dig themselves into the ground and crabby crabbes.
Practical information
- This excursions starts at the old visitors centre (Torenstreek 20)
- From 6 years old
- Bring a bicycle
- Wear rubber boots and clothing that is okay to get muddy (it is also possible to borrow rubber boots)
- Children can only come when accompanied by an adult
- Dogs are not allowed
- The minimum amount of participants is 5
- When the weather is bad the excursion can by cancelled

Borrowing rubber boots
When you want to borrow rubber boots, make sure to be ten minutes early at the starting point. The ranger will be there to lend out rubber boots.
